Atif is dual qualified with rights to practise in England & Wales and Pakistan. He qualified in England and Wales in 2019 and has developed his immigration practice alongside a background in litigation.
His work includes entry clearance, leave to remain, indefinite leave to remain and naturalisation. He has also worked on complex matters involving criminality and deportation, no recourse to public funds, breaks in continuous residence, returning residents, administrative review, appeals and judicial review.
The litigation background matters because immigration cases are not only about what is written in an application. Evidence has to be assessed, weaknesses have to be identified and legal arguments often need to be considered before a decision is made.
